What is a Graphic Designer?
A Graphic designer often creates visual concepts using computer software to create the thought up idea and make it a reality. Sometimes Graphic Designers work by hand, to communicate their ideas that will inspire, inform, and captivate a clients attention visually.
What type of work does a Graphic Designer do?
Many Graphic Designers specialize in freelance design services, publishing services, and creating advertisements everywhere. Almost anywhere you see a logo, imagery, billboard, signs, or any graphic on products in a store… A graphic Designer most likely designed.
The time and expenses:
Graphic designers usually charge a premium based on their work and time for several reasons:
- Skill and experience: Graphic design can be a complex field of work which requires a lot of high level skill in working with design and branding, the creativity aspects, and technical know-how of the tools for precise use.
- Time and effort: Graphic design can take a lot of time to come up with a good concept and design that will work for the client. As designers work through creating a concept, we need to research, come up with concepts, create rough designs, and keep refining the client’s designs until they are perfect. The time and effort that goes into creating a well designed graphic is key to the designs success.
- Equipment and software: As a Graphic designer, we need to invest in high-end equipment and software to use in order to do the job. These are usually a type of software with subscriptions, computers (with a powerful Graphic Processing Unit) that will run the software, and whatever tools outside of digital such as designers books, printing and more. To help with these costs, designers usually charge a small percentage to the client for the time used on the design building tools. We use these tools to develop and design a very strong professional final product.
- Business expenses: As a graphic designer, our business is very important to us as well as our clients. It involves more than just creating designs. Designers use their services to generate income which we need to pay for our business expenses. This includes things such as website hosting, domain fees, our time (like a wage), our subscriptions, our education costs, and much more.
Bad Designs and Quality:
While the cost of a graphic design service may seem a bit high, it’s important to remember that you are paying for a professional service that can have a huge impact on the success of your business. Using a well designed graphic can help you stand out from the rest of the competition, help you attract more customers, and build a stronger brand.
Although there are free services, software, and apps out there which claim to provide “FREE Graphic Logo,” these services are usually NOT professional and will NOT produce a universal design. The designs created from these services can often have major flaws and quality issues. This could include things such as bad resolution. pixelation, wrong sizes, cheap design, copyrighted designs, paid services for a poor design, and such. Please refrain from using these sources if you can as they can be a waste of money and ruin your business reputation. If you are looking for a well crafted, professional design, please consider my services! I will work with you to create your designs to make your dreams become a reality!

What is a Professional Photographer?
A professional photographer is someone who takes photos professionally for a client. We produce great quality photos with the skills we mastered. This is mastering a camera as well as angles, lighting, focus, and staging. Professional photographers work either part-time or full-time. We mostly are freelancers or are independently contracted.
What does a Professional Photographer do?
Photographers typically do the following:
- We market or advertise services to attract clients through a media by showing our work.
- We specialize in our client’s needs and focus on the theme of the photography type.
- We adjust lighting and focus on the subject to get a clear image.
- Capture subjects in a setting that produces professional-quality photographs.
- We do professional portrait photos, headshots, atmospheric theme, business identity photos and much more related to each individual’s needs.
- We use photo enhancing software to edit an image to make it stunning!
- We also maintain a digital portfolio to demonstrate our work such as Instagram or a website.
- We bundle a package to provide you with a professional photography experience with a professional final product.
What do we use?
With the advancement of technology, most photographers use what is called a DSLR digital camera. DSLR (Digital Single-Lens Reflex) cameras operate with a fixed, digital sensor. The DSLR can autofocus and hold thousands of photos on its internal memory card. There are also mirrorless cameras which provide a much detailed and clear image.
These cameras are much different and higher quality than from the good old days of traditional film cameras. Although film photography is outdated… it is making a comeback! Photographers still to this day use both digital cameras and film cameras.
Digital cameras capture images electronically, so photographers can edit the image on a computer. Film cameras must be edited using the camera settings which makes it very limited. When using a digital camera, the images can be stored on portable memory devices. Once the raw (unedited) image has been transferred to a computer, photographers can use image processing software to crop or modify the image and enhance it through color correction and other specialized effects. Professional Photographers often use high-end computers, editing software, and high-quality printers to produce the perfect image.
What settings do Professional Photographer’s work in?
Professional Photographers work for commercial clients, non-commercial individuals, organizations, or events. We are usually independently contracted to do freelance work for anyone needing a photography service. Photographers who own and operate their own business have additional responsibilities. We must advertise, schedule appointments, set up and adjust equipment, buy supplies, keep records, charge customers, pay bills, and much more. We sometimes hire additional staff to do makeup, staging, or for comfort needs. We may also use extra people for lighting or holding props, lights, and such.
Types of photographers:
The following are examples of types of photographers:
Personal Photographers: shoot mostly staged setup in which the photographers and the client work together to create the photo. This would include family portraits, graduation and class pictures, student projects, weddings, and more.
Commercial and Industrial Photographers: take pictures of subjects such as buildings, models, merchandise, artifacts, and landscapes. They usually go on location to take pictures for magazine covers, engineering projects, or other purposes.
Fine Arts Photographers: These are photographers which sell their photographs as artwork. They take photos for the fine artist of the fine artist’s artwork. This is a main source of income for fine artists as it allows the artists to have professional photos taken of their artwork to be sold online or in a gallery. Special techniques such as lighting and the use of lenses, are key for fine arts photographers to display all the details in the client’s artwork.
News Photographers: These photographers play a big role in giving media a photo for their headline. We photograph people, places, and events for newspapers, journals, magazines, or television. In addition to taking still photos, we often work with digital video as well.
Portrait Photographers: take pictures of individuals or groups of people and may work in studios. Portrait photographers who specialize in weddings, religious ceremonies, or school photographs usually work on location or where the events are held.
Scientific Photographers: capture scientific or medical data. This type of photographer focuses on accurately representing subjects visually, these photographers limit the use of software to clarify an image. Scientific photographers who take pictures of objects too small to be seen with the naked eye use microscopes to photograph their subjects. This also includes microphotography and getting the very small details in a subject in focus.

What is a Web Designer?
Web design is what your website looks like and design and elements of your website to create its appearance. The process of building a website design is what a Web Designer does. We make sure that your website has a defined structure with a layout for things to be applied. Items such as images, colors, fonts and graphics make up a website design.
A web designer creates a well structured website that has many components which work together. These components include graphic design, user experience design, interface design, search engine optimization (SEO) and such. The components are typically called elements which help to define how a website looks as well as the websites users interaction performance.
Web Designers vs. Web Developers?
Web design, as I explained, deal with the graphical appearance. This is different from what a web developer does. A web developer’s job is coding and building the structure of the website. The coding is what makes a website work and exist. When you need a website built, you need both web designer and web developer for the best website experience. I work with both web design and web Development to best suit your needs!
- Web designers: We can the ideas you have and make them into a visual example. This gives you an example of what your website will look like. Web designers deal with the creative artistic parts of designing a website like the photos, graphics and all.
- Web developers: are coders and programmers who take the example of the web design created and turn it into a coding language so it can be displayed on the web. We make the websites functional. This often means we have to custom code and program widgets and other tools into the website. The more scientific programming side of things.
